I was born on July 22nd , 1992 in Texas .
My parents : Mandy Teefey and Ricardo Joel Gomez .
I'm half Italian , Mexican and American dessent .
My parents divorsed when I was only five years old . so I was raised as an only child by my mom .
I went to a normal school till I was 12 years old . Then I started getting Home schooled . In 2010 - I earned a High school diploma .
I'm a pure Catholic ( Mexican , American) .
My family does have Quinceañeras, and we go to the communion church.
We do everything that's Catholic, but we don't really have anything traditional except that we go to the park and have barbeques on Sundays after church.
I developed an early interest in acting from watching my mom prepare for and act in theater productions.
My early carrer began in 2002 , when I played Gianna on Barney & Friends.
I later had minor roles in Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over and the TV film Walker, Texas Ranger: Trial By Fire.
Latter in 2004 Disney channel invited me for some minor rolles in Disney episodes : "Suite Life of Zac and Cody" and "Hannah Montana"
In early 2007 , I got the lead roll part as Alex Russo in Wizards Of Waverly Place . ( 2007-2011) .
I've also had many lead rolles in movies : "Another Cinderella Story " , "Wizards Of Waverly place The Movie " , " "Romona and Beezus " , "Princess Protection Program" , " Monte carlo " ....
In 2009 I was presented as a member of The Scene Group . So now we are called " Selena Gomez and The Scene " and we have 3 allbums sold out in no time : Kiss and Tell , A Year without Rain , When The sun Goes Down .
